* The students are given responsibility, not only for their own work, but also to assist other students and the school’s operation.
* The school offers a flexible and rigorous academic program that is relevant both to the students’ life experience as well as their understanding of the world.
* The school promotes positive relationships and mentoring for personal development.
* Adult sponsors give guidance and support to the students and are in regular dialogue with the school.
* The students receive encouragement from both the aid and involvement of the community.
OUR MISSION
The Community School is an academic & mentoring program,
based in the Remington community, for young people who want to
advance their education, improve their lives, and better their community.

If not for this school, I might still be abusing drugs, would not be as successful in any aspect of my life, or be competent to hold a steady job because of my habits. The school helped me embark on a journey into the college world and supported me every step of the way.“
